I read Fred Ikle's book, Annihilation from Within, last Saturday.

It's pretty scary; the threats outlined in it are much to similar to those in the world of Vernor Vinge's excellent novel, Rainbows End.  Even weirder is that the scenario of the movie & graphic novel, V, are exactly the threat painted by Ikle: a fringe political group covertly deploys WMD internally so that it can make a power grab, similar to the way the Nazis used the Reichstag fire.
